WILDLAND POISON IVY WIPES

I hope you are nowhere near as allergic as I am to Poison Ivy and Oak. I can look at the stuff and break out into a horrible rash. It is a struggle for me from spring to winter every year. So I have tried numerous products over the years to combat the pesky oils from these demon plants. Unfortunately there aren’t many that work too well for those of us that are highly allergic. However, these Wildland Poison Ivy wipes actually work great. A few times, I averted rashes altogether due to the use of these. And other times, I greatly reduced the severity of the exposure. These work great and are a constant on my gear list. Each individual wipe is 8” x 10”, lightly scented with natural Lavender and Grapefruit essential oils. Just thoroughly wipe down any areas of skin that have been exposed and rest assured that you either eliminated the problem or, at the least, greatly reduced the amount of oil to create rashes.

Hot Snot fire starter not only has a really cool and catchy name, but it works fantastic. When kindling is not available or you’re in a wet environment, this “Snot” is ready for the challenge. Just simply squeeze out the product like toothpaste onto your material and light with a match, lighter, or even a ferro rod. SILVA TRACKING: Animal Tracking Flashcards

If you have not worked on your tracking skills, you have missed a very important skill to have. Not to mention it is incredibly fun to work on. Tracking is a skill that forces you to get outdoors to learn, which is a good thing! It is also an excellent opportunity to get out with the family and learn together. HOLTZMAN NECK KNIFE

Holtzman just simply knocks it out of the park with their blades and this Tanto neck knife is no exception. My favorite and most used knife is a neck knife. I love that it is always close at hand and ready to do work. It is also nice that if I need to quickly conceal it, I can just slip it down behind my shirt and nobody’s the wiser. This setup comes with all you need, which is the way Holtzman always does it. You of course get the knife itself with G10 scales, green liners and a razor sharp D2 steel Tanto Blade. In addition, you get a kydex sheath, paracord, ball chain, ferro rod, a steel and techlock clip (if you don’t want to use it as a neck knife), and a tool to assemble the clip.

WE KNIFE BANTER FOLDER

Oh YEAH! A WE knife is this month’s Pro Plus KOTM! I love this knife right here like you wouldn’t believe. The Banter is designed by Ben Petersen. Made with S35VN Steel, this black stonewashed, flat grind, drop point is simple, but very satisfying and sharp. The scales are Cuibourtia Wood and sandwich stainless steel liners with a liner lock mechanism. This is a tip up carry design with an ambidextrous stainless steel pocket clip. The presentation side pivot and the thumb studs are titanium. This pocket knife also has caged bearings for superior alignment and smooth operation. The Banter is for sure going to become a favorite EDC blade that will last you for years. These scales are wooden so it would be wise to apply wax to the wood to keep it from drying out excessively. Wicked Wax will work great for this. You should have some, right?
